IBS Studies

In order to understand fully the following examples and to gain the greatest benefit from them you will find it helpful first to read our book, Inductive Bible Study: A Comprehensive Guide to the Practice of Hermeneutics (Baker Academic, 2011) or to watch the video presentations on inductive Bible study method by Robert Traina here.

Courses by Robert Traina:

General Epistles
Method in Bible Study

Please note: these files are presented as is. Though some sets are incomplete, the existing content is rich. This set of examples includes book surveys of Mark and of Jonah; segment surveys of Mark 4 and Jonah 4; detailed analyses of Mark 4 and Jonah 4; and a detailed observation of Mark 15:34.  We will soon post sample interpretations of Mark 15:34 and Jonah 4. These examples follow the “Exercises” in Inductive Bible Study: A Comprehensive Guide to the Practice of Hermeneutics.  We are also preparing to post additional examples.
