The Study of Spirituality by Cheslyn Jones; Geoffrey Wainwright; Edward S. Yarnold This is a very good introduction to the study of Spirituality. It does not limit itself to Christian spirituality, but gives a solid treatment of it and the various traditions present in Christian spirituality through history and geographically.

Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places by Eugene H. Peterson Lamenting the vacuous, often pagan nature of contemporary American spirituality, Peterson firmly grounds spirituality once more in Trinitarian theology and offers a clear, practical statement of what it means to actually live out the Christian life.

Dynamics of Spiritual Life by Richard F. Lovelace Richard Lovelace gives a history of spiritual renewals in light of biblical models. Isolating the elements of live orthodoxy, he proposes a comprehensive approach to renewal. Lovelace looks at such practical issues as renewal of the local congregation, the ways revivals go wrong, the evangelical thrust toward church unity, and Christian approaches to the arts and to social concern. A book for all concerned to revitalize the church.

Spiritual Theology by Simon Chan This volume has been hailed as a treasure by Dallas Willard. It is broken into two parts, the first on the theological basis for spirituality and the second on the practice of Christian spirituality.
