Executive Director of Library Instructional Services
Dr. Paul A. Tippey is the Executive Director of Library Instructional Services where his responsibilities include all aspects of library, instructional, and information services, such as strategic planning, public services, collections development, budget development, policy development, marketing, and public relations. Dr. Tippey supervises six areas: Strategic Collections Services including Special Collections and Scholarly Communications, Public Services including Technical Support Services, Instructional Design Services, Academic Productions, and Writing Center Services in Kentucky as well as Information Services on our Florida Dunnam Campus.
As part of Asbury Theological Seminary, Dr. Tippey is a member of the Academic Council, Center for the Study of World Christian Revitalization Movements, Executive Committee: Wesleyan Studies Summer Seminar (WSSS), Curriculum Committee, Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment committee, Institutional Review Board (chairperson), and Technology Advisory Counsel. Dr. Tippey also serves as an Adjunct Faculty in the School of Practical Theology and as the QEP Implementation Director.
Outside of the Seminary, Dr. Tippey serves on the Conference Committee of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) and is a member of the Methodist Denominational Group. He also serves as a member of the Technology in Theological Education Group Steering Committee (TTEG) of the Association of Theological Schools (tATS) and is co-chair of the Faculty Professional Development Group. Dr. Tippey has participated as a member of tATS site visit teams.
Dr. Tippey and his wife have just completed constructing a new home and look forward to establishing a small farm with their six children.
