At Home Production Guide for ATS Faculty

This guide details some best practice guidelines for creating video and audio content at home. There are also some equipment recommendations at the end that could be used to improve production as well.

Equipment Disclaimer

Remember that any piece of equipment that you add to your system is another piece of equipment that can fail or that will require troubleshooting if it is not working.  Depending on the equipment you already have, you may not need any of the below equipment to make quality recordings.

Webcam Recommendations

If your laptop has a 720p webcam, a 1080p webcam will be an immediate upgrade in image quality.

Document Camera

Document Cameras are a good way to capture documents or other visual content using your preferred video capture software.

External Microphone Recommendations

An external microphone can drastically improve your audio quality.
