Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment (IEA)

UNIT MISSION:  The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment works closely with the Institutional Assessment Committee to insure Asbury Theological Seminary is providing quality academic programs and administrative operations in keeping with its educational mission. The IEA further provides administrative support and training for assessment unit managers and maintains documentation related to all phases of the institutional assessment process.

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

Asbury Theological Seminary is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award degrees at the master's and doctoral levels. Asbury Theological Seminary also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Last reaffirmed with SACS and TATS was in 2015 and the next reaffirmation or comprehensive evaluation visit will be in 2025.

The Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling degrees are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
