LITS has been given the green light to reinstate book pickup services. Please Click Here for information on how to request books.
In light of the current response of the Seminary and our encouragement to everyone to stay home and stay healthy, curbside pickup and scanning of physical resources will be suspended until offices at Asbury Seminary reopen. We urge everyone to pray for people around the world.
We recognize the strain the COVID-19 situation is having on our community, and we are doing everything in our power to help mitigate these inconveniences. We know the value our community places on producing the highest quality scholarship possible. That’s why, in addition to keeping technology, research, and writing center services going online, the LITS department has developed a B. L. Fisher Library Online guide and expanded our electronic offerings with the help of our vendors and library consortiums to keep your research and work going!
We also want you to get the books you need. Starting Monday, March 23, local students and faculty with urgent resource needs will be able to request curbside pickup of books from the B.L. Fisher Library. Each week, any Seminary student or faculty member may request up to 20 books for pickup. LITS staff will schedule a time for pickup with each requester. Requests can be submitted through InterLibrary Loan.
We know not all of our students and faculty are here locally so electronic delivery of scanned sections of reference, main, and periodical material will be available to all students through the ILL software. Each week, any Seminary student or faculty member can request up to 10 scans.
Please see the LITS COVID-19 Curbside Pickup Policy and LITS COVID-19 Response for additional information.
